Does anyone know where I can buy a cheap portable cot and the bed linen to go with it? I don't want second hand. Also does anyone know where to get a cheap foam mattress to put in the porta-cot? I believe they are fairly hard.

most baby stores sell them, though they're not cheap. You can use any regular cot sheet, it's the same size. Don't know about the additional foam, I never saw the need and it's just one more thing to cary.
