Christmas is coming and the missus really needs a new phone so I've been looking around and there are so many different options and opinions that I don't really know where to start.
Her priorities are :
a) camera that's better than her current one (not difficult - her current phone has a VGA camera!);
b) slim (or at least, not bulky);
c) nice, big buttons that are easy to press.
I've considered the G600 and the Viewty, although each seems to come with some pretty scathing criticism. Anyone got any recommendations?

Best Camera phone on the market now, Sony Ericsson K850i. Beats the Nokia easily. Not the best as a phone though!

thanks for the suggestions. I was just about to go out and buy the G608 for lack of any other suggestions. I'll have a look at the SE, but I've heard that the buttons can be rather unfriendly to use. Any thoughts on that?
Clearly the best camera would be something that doesn't come with a phone attached to it, but it's the convenience of having both things in a single device that is attractive to her. Doesn't have to be the best camera in the world, as she's a very average sort of user with very average needs. She does, however, want a relatively uncomplicated device that is simple and friendly to use.

I've always thought Sony Ericsson makes the best camera phones (I'm no professional though) - I'm using K810i and have been very happy with it.

I ended up buying the Samsung G608. Really wanted to get the N95 8gb for her but
a) it's too big and not straight-forward enough for her needs;
b) the G608 has a decent 5mp camera, is slim, simple and basically ticks all the boxes;
c) the G608 is half the price of the N95 8gb and I needed all the savings I could get in order to afford the engagement ring...
