Does anyone know of a model train shop in HK?
In particular one that sells Shinkansen (aka Japanese bullet trains) model trains?
The only shop I knew of in CWB closed down a year ago and a friend is looking to start a collection, and we have no idea where to look.
Thank you.

Mong Kok has a couple of model train and car shops, can't remeber road names, but its about 2 roadsup, running parallel from Tung Choi st, opposite the small open air carpark on the corner. Don't know if they sell what you're looking for. Sorry very vague, but maybe worth a wander around that area.

It is the working model trains she is interested in. Yes, not much space here, so will go slow for the time being, just looking to start collection and make sure she likes it. Trying to find to buy as xmas gift for her.
I will go for a wander around those areas, and see if I can find anything. Thanks.

at the mongkok mtr get off the exit to tung choi street... (d2??) you will exit with the "Apple" shop on the opp side... walk on the same side of the street that you exited (argyle street)... after the first road intersection... there is Sincere, then its the tiny mobile phone shops... just after these is the big mall that sells only mobile phones, walk on and keep looking left... look for a badly written sign that says games, toys, trains and cars... its tacked on to a garishly painted stairway ... blue stairs, navy blue moon and white stars... you are in paradise.. be prepared to battle the jostling crowds.. yes even in the basement its crowded in MongKok.. not only up above on the streets.
HOPE YOU HAVE FUN...
Oh... if you reach McDonalds without spotting this, then back track and look harder please...
Have taken countless european and american guests there who thought this place was a hoot !!
