This has been covered in another thread. Apparently it's a bug and it will be addressed in the new year.


Meanwhile:

- Firefox does not have this problem. www.getfirefox.com

- If you don't want ads at all, you can use Firefox and then download the add-on "Adblock Plus".

If you switch to firefox (IE is a inferior browser) you will not experience the problem

Indeed. If you do find web pages that must use IE, you can get the "IE Tab" add-on for Firefox. It allows you to use IE in an FF tab for a single page.
