Thread alignment structure

Would it be easier to read and follow up if the latest reply/entry be placed in the front/top instead of all the way at the bottom? Especially with multiple replies, it is just a pain to have to scroll down to see the latest comment/reply...

Ed, what do you think???

Typically on web forums, it goes top to bottom.

However, there are other mechanics that could be introduced. For example:

- An "unread" link driven by cookies that takes you directly to the next unread post.

- A "quote" button that allows you to neatly quote selected text in another post.

- A preview button.

- A larger edit window.

- Picture embedding capability.

- etc...

See here for an example of a very advanced but easy to use forum. http://www.airliners.net/discussions/tech_ops/

We have a Go to Bottom Option on each thread which I think is quite user friendly

Hi Ed,

I would think those optional button would work, but they don't at least from when I try to presss it... I tried the "Go to bottom" and reply button shown at the top of each thread and they don't react... Is anyone else getting the same reaction???
