We need to buy
1) a small speaker for our computer
2) a couple of CD players with tape record function possibly for children's rooms - nothing too bling or too big
3) A handheld mini vacuum cleaner
4) A telephone with an ansafone feature built in which works (had some bad experiences here already)
5) A camcorder
6) One of those toaster, broiler, grill top gadgets
Really need some good advice too as not really sure on the best for 3,4 and 6.
Apart from fortress - We went to Times Square, where else can we get advice and a good deal.

3) Try department stores, such as Wing On, Jusco, Citistore and Sogo etc. (But when I looked around a couple of years ago the hand-held vacuums were so feeble here I ended up bringinig back a far more powerful one - that actually does the job - from a trip to the UK.)
5) Ocean Terminal - there's a floor with small shops that sometimes offer better deals than Fortress or Broadway. I've always used Standard Audio and got good prices and excellent service.
6) I'm sure I've seen fairly large selections in the department stores mentioned above.

Fortress and Broadway are the ones with all of it. Of course you can go to other places but they won't have everything. You'll get a 10-15% discount if you buy lots of stuff.
Phone with ansaphone? Why not go landline free with Skype. It even has voicemail (that works). ;)

not sure I am keen to be on skype as I had real problems with security in the UK - just want a conventional landline ansaphone.

Very confused about the stove top things as everyone I know offers varying advice. If you have a toaster/broiler/grill gadget - be interested to hear which one.
We are also looking for printer/fax/scanner - will try Wanchai Computer Centre for that.

Specifically how? You don't have to use your wireless connection. I'd like to know your issues so I know if I need to remedy something. ;)

Can't go wrong with HP. I've had one in US and one here. Current is Laserjet 3055. printer/fax/scanner/copier. Inkjet is cheaper but laser feels more solid unless you really need color printing/copying (scanning is color of course).
