Man charged with Molesting 12 year old boy continues to go to clubhouse

I live in Laguna Verde in Hung Hom. There is a clubhouse, pool with showers, sauna and steam in the changeroom. In July a man how I'd complained about acting inappropriately, using the hairdryer on his privates and spending up to two hours at a stretch in the changeroom, was charged with allegedly molesting a 12 year old boy in the shower. The Chinese papers covered the story. He now faces trial on Monday in Wan Chai District Court. He was charged in August but since then he continues to go to the clubhouse, pool and still spends that same amount of time in the changeroom. Children are now a rare sight in the clubhouse and hardly ever seen in the changeroom. I've complained repeatedly to management But they did nothing saying that because it was before the courts and he was innocent until proven guilty, the rules were unclear. However, he continued to use the facilities inappropriately and I complained. On two occasions I called police on him and they gave him a verbal warning regarding his aggressive behavior towards me, but said there was not enough evidence to lay a charge of uttering threats. Is there any way of getting a restraining order against this guy or banning him from the facility? I have 2 police reports and a file of complaints against him. That coupled with the charges surely must be enough to get him banned. Any suggestions or advice on how to proceed? In the US or Canada men charged with sex offenses against children are banned by their conditions of bail from being near children. Why is that not the case here? Police said the clubouse should ban him but the management refuse to act.

You are wrong. There are very seldom conditions attached to bail. That is the whole concept of innocent until proven guilty.

If the club refuses tyo act you could threaten to go public, or get members to gether and threaten to withdraw member ship.


You should however be careful to avoid being libelous.
