Hi I recently got given a brand new Medion lap top computer in the UK and since I arrived back in Hong Kong with it have had nothing but problems.
First I Tunes stopped working, the DVD player is very slow and any programme such as Windows Media or Explorer are shut down very quickly. I can never connect to the internet after just having it installed.
This is my first lap top and I don't have a clue what to do. I have uninstalled all programmes that I downloaded (including I Tunes) and I've run a virus check (that came up with nothing).
I brought it to work so the technical man could take a look and he hasn't got a clue.
Does anyone know somewhere that I can take it? Please help me before I throw it out of the window!

my medion laptop hard disk broken. Do you know of any shop in HK where I could repair it? possible recover the data as well.

adlerscout, a hard drive is a hard drive. They are standardized parts so you can just replace it with a new one.
I'm sure you can find someplace in the Wan Chai Computer Centre that will replace the hard drive in 3 minutes. Then you need to reinstall everything.
As for recovering the data, it depends on the severity of the problem and how much money you are willing to throw at it.

it is probably the hard drive buy a new one dosnt cost much
