If you have to have a layover, Finnair has the added advantage of taking the shortest path to Europe, so travel time is shorter.

www.kayak.com is a good place to start. Searches all the major sites.

Try Hong Kongs own airline Oasis, they do some reduced price flights to London Gatwick, I've heard some good reports
