Can someone save me some research on data plans?

Hi There,

I have a fixed line and mobile plan with PCCW and a Pay as you go plan with Smartone-Vodafone. I currently access internet on the go via my netvigator (now broadband) account which is reasonably priced for irregular use. Am looking at the new Net anywhere plans with some of the companies and wondering if I should get a data plan that is reasonable. I am seeing this as yet another bill to pay.

Can anyone tell me the best, cost effective plan to have net access for PDA and laptop on the go in Hong Kong?

If you have wifi then connect to one of the many free wifi services around town. Especially when you have irregular use.

Thanks for the reply Flathunter,

Sorry for not being clear in my original post but I am looking to expand on my irregular use. I would particularly like to be able to use the net on the MTR. Have not been able to connect to much by WiFi on the MTR. Have looked at http://www.netvigatoreverywhere.com/ but it looks like it will cost me $328 per month for 18 months for the WiFi everywhere plan. Wondering how that compares to a normal 3G plan and keeping the pay as you go plan on netvigator?

Cheers

Paul
