There's a email going around advertising an outdoor screening tonight (in this weather!) of a 2005 film - priced at $200. This seems to be part of a series of outdoor screenings of pretty average old films at $200 per head. Am I missing something or is this a complete rip off?

Kingswood Country - there's a lot of things I'd like to bring to Hong Kong, but would be silly because of pricing / demand.
Out of interest - did anyone shell out the $200 to watch a movie that had been on TV? I guess it was empty, and that fellow expat is hopefully onto her next bright idea...

yes I agree that most cosmopolitan cities around the world have outdoor films - and I think its a great idea. Congrats to the person in charge. However, 200$ is not a "consistent" price. Leave it to superficial Hong Kong, a city with zero grass-roots art, to overcharge for something most cities do for free - or at least the same as a regular movie ticket.
