Don't think I can face being outdoors this year - somewhere for a nice glass of fizz without having to pay silly prices for a dinner!

Unfortunately, anywhere indoors with a nice glass of fizz will cost you silly prices. This is HK after all and every licensee takes advantage of fireworks nights. Try maybe Red in the IFC centre or Isola.

We went to Isola last year. I cannot recommend it to watch the fire works - wind came from North East so blew all the smoke over. We were not able to see anything of the fire works. Better stay in Admiralty, Wanchai or CWB area. Food was very nice but had to pay "fire works" prices.

Try No.1 Beijing Road too... say Aqua or another Chinese restaurants there...
