Suing an individual for Liable within the workplace

ORIGINAL POST

I need take legal action against in individual and possibly a employer for not dealing with the matter in a satisfactory manner. I have started looking into the situation and would greatly appreciate any advice from anybody with a similar case or experience. My case seems pretty solid, written statements versus hearsay.

Any ideas on cost effective methods? any firms you can reccomend. I have never even entertained the idea of suing a person before, but this individual has infuriated me with a litany of libelous derogatory rumors which have cause much stress and effected directly my professional reputation .

Any help is really appreciated

Many thanks

Suing for liable is notoriously difficult and expensive, you should contact a lawyer, a list can be found on the law society website.

Yup seek advice from a lawyer first and see what your chances are of success.

Also you do know that if it comes to court you may only get a nominal sum if the defendant is broke etc?

Also your name will be mud in this town as no future employer would want to hire you as you're deemed a risk.
