prescription glasses for kids

My 5 year old daughter has recently been advised to wear glasses for long sightedness. Any suggestions as to wear I can pick up prescription glasses which are pretty and trendy, something she would be happy to wear everyday for the next 3 years (will need atleast 2 sets), but at the same time reasonable (preferably not more than 1000 bucks each) in terms of cost.

thanks

Not sure where you are but we use the Opticians in Stanley for our 4 year old and paid about $1200 for hers but they are super strong lenses and have the scratch resistant coating on the lenses. Not sure if you would have the same pair for 3 years as I think the idea is at this age their eyes will improve and therefore need new glasses more regularly!

dear god, i hope we dont come to that stage. as it is, i was so shocked when i was told that her eyesight was weak...had the tests done twice..... but then i guess we need to move on and deal with the situation. as I was told there is so much more out there. this is something we can easily deal with and is rectifiable :)
