You can't really pack your bag and hope. I mean in theory you could come here as a tourist but I think your best option is to look from home.

Do you have financial experience? Those firms are always looking to send people to HK.

Hi, it would make easier if you can land yourself a job, and your employer could apply a working permit for you. Is there any specific job you are looking for? You may want to send me a private message.

Hi axptguy38

Thanks for the quick response,

Sorry for not saying that I could maybe apply HK residency through my family origins so that shouldnt be a problem interms of working visas and such.

I have a Degree in Multimedia Design so by trade Im trained to produce Illustrations and 3D modelling as well as web design. What got me thinking was the when I found out the the latest Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle move was made in HK (yes Im a fan)

Plenty of Western firms in HK try to find Westerners because it is often easier for Westerners to work in a Western firm. The corporate culture is different. However I don't know about your field.

If you do have the residency you could probably get a job rather easily, but maybe not in the field you trained.

Have you checked out the scheme for quality migrants or the general HK immigration sites? Lots of useful info there.
