I like to batch cook meals for my almost 2 year old and freeze in portions however I think she is tired of the usual chicken/rice/veg combo. I know she can eat what we do but with 2 picky eaters as sisters I like to give her healthier options as she will eat anything!! Any suggestions gratefully received!

An ok book is "baby meals" by Annabel Carmel.
Here are some things we/our helper make. Most of these can be made in a big batch and frozen:
- Marinate pork tenderloin pieces in teriyaki sauce and ginger, then bread and fry.
- Steamed fish with onion and ginger
- Pasta with tomato sauce. Add some black olives
- Pasta al pesto
- Chicken with cous cous
- Marinate salmon in teriyaki sauce and ginger, then grill
- Mashed potatoes with some garlic
- Home made spring rolls with veal or pork
- Home made veal meat balls (veal has a milder taste but lamb works too)
- Mild chicken curry
- Fish pudding. Sounds gross but our older daughter loves it.
- Home made fish fingers (breaded snapper works) with fried potato wedges
- Thin pancakes (crepes)
I would also try various curries and such. Indian dishes tend to go down well as long as you make them mild.
Finally, get 2 year old to help with whisking, breading and so forth. It will take longer but it's more fun for him.
