I went hunting for ingredients to make biscuits today, including almonds, hazelnuts, pistachios and pine nuts.
It is easy to find small 100g bags of these nuts at our local Wellcome/Park and Shop (in Sai Kung), but in these quantities they are quite expensive.
Does anyone know where to buy nuts in 500g/1lb or greater quantities (and at reasonable prices)?
Many thanks

I buy from the Wanchai market. This corner stall sells almonds, walnuts, pine nuts, pistachios (no hazelnuts I think) per lb.

Hennessy Road right? A bit east of Wan Chai MTR station?

I woke up this morning and it occurred to me there are two markets in Wan Chai. One is the "wet market" in the municipal services building on Hennessy Road. The other is in the streets just south of Hennessy Road, next to the elevated expressway on the "border" with Causeway Bay. I don't know which one is intended here.

Can anyone have a specific direction of that stall? thanks.

Wanchai station, exit A Johnston road. Cross street to Angel Cosmetics. Walk along the street market stalls, then first narrow street, turn left. The lady I buy from owns the stall on the left-side corner leading to the vegetable market.
Love the honey walnuts! She sells salted and unsalted almonds too, cashews... And you can try a piece or two first to check for freshness

Thanks AKTiv8 for the direction. Finally had the time to buy it today. Her price is cheaper, i know how much is it at groceries.
Question - how do you store those nuts so it can be crunchy for a longer time? put inside the ref? i put it now in a tupperware, but for those walnuts, almond for baking, where should i place it? thanks.
