My daughter who is five is walking with her feet turned in, sometimes more pronounced than others.
Does anyone have any advice on what to do? She is very tall, and has long feet, so that does not help, but I deel that we need to do something with her now.
Any advice would be appreciated.

I had this problem with my little one, but he's only 2.... according to the podiatrist, it's due to a number of things, one is the hip's positioning of the child, and also a habit learning.... so the earlier you corrected her the better it would be.
Have you tried the shoes at Dr. Shoes that CORRECTS feet for walking? They costs about $ 800-$1000 (or more), quite heavy, but it corrects it. It worked for both of my kids... when they learned to walk, my daughter would lift up her heels and turn in a little.... then she wore those shoes for 1 year.... no more.
Then my son was really bad in the left foot.... took him to the doctor, he said his hip was the reason.... kept him sleeping more on his back rather than on the side and front (he likes to sleep face down).... then I got him to wear those shoes daily..... and now his problem is almost unnoticeable. Sometimes still turns in, but much better.
Good luck.

Katetam, many thanks for your response. I have also had the advice of getting her to wear her shoes on the wrong feet, especially those with good insteps. Not sure if that will work, but seems to be the way for many. I will visit the dr. Shoes shop.
aworkingmum, It is in festival Walk.
Will give all a try...
Thanks again.

Thanks Tooher. We've tried soft sole shoes (Pumas and they seem to be working! Woohoo! And we've tried wearing them the wrong way around but for whatever reason, it made the situation worse when he was tired. So will visit Festival Walk.
Could you please tell me which specialist you saw?
