my 8.5 month old bub has 6 teeth, and 2 more coming. should i clean his teeth and tongue? when and how should i do that?
is it too early to start brushing teeth?

hi, me again - yes, you are supposed to start pretty much as soon as they have them - am and pm (we only do pm with ours tho - to lazy...). Make sure you buy the special toothpase - not fluoride..

hi idsllvn again! :-) thanks for advising. i have so many questions on and off! sounds like i have started late in cleaning indeed! i wonder how my bub will take it.. don't think he's going to enjoy it. how about your experience? does bub get use to it eventually?

they do - just give it a couple of days - we do it in the bath (i find it easiest) - first we do it for them, then they take over and try (not very efficiently of course) - but I think they like the taste so works! also, tho we never did it with ours, they say it helps if you brush your teeth in front of them... really dont worry - they just generally like the taste, so should be easy!

I wrote the longest suggestion list for brushing the teeth of an unwilling toddler in a thread a while ago. But I'm too tired to look for it now. ;)
