oil heater problem

i have one of those delonghi oil heaters. when we came back from CNY break i discovered that it had been left on for 5 days straight (yes that's bad i know). anyway, ever since then it hasn't been working very well - even when i turn it on to it's highest setting it's struggling to heat the room to what it used to be able to at just 1/3rd of the setting. (it's in bub's room so i really do want it to work properly even if it's just for the few remaining cold nights this year). anyone ever had this problem? do i need to recharge/service it?? thanks.

good thing it didnt start a fire or something. but yes better be safe than sorry - have it checked or serviced.
