If a girl (HK permanent resident) marries a non-Hong Kong resident, can the husband stay in Hong Kong on a dependent visa?

Of course. As soon as they are married he needs to apply for a dependant visa and will be able to work once that has been granted.

Thanks. Guess it made no difference that the marriage took place outside Hong Kong?

Isonoawabi,

Unless, of course, your non-Hong Kong resident husband comes from the Mainland, and then unfortunately he will not be able to come to HK as your dependant.

yes, u can.

What u all need to do is that call up the immigration department and ask them the name of the forms u need to fill up. Fill up the forms and send it to them by post. Then the immigration offerice will call u up for infor. e.g yr income and MPF they r most immporant. Then hopefully he will be granted Visa.

He'll get visa easily as long as u have enough income (maybe about 8K depending on the expenses)....

hope it hepls
