Urgent (thinking strictly about costs):
Parking at Disneyland or City Gate.
What's going to be the better option?

If your going to Disneyland, then park there, its $120 for the day. if you park at Tung Chung, its probably around $20 an hour, plus you then have to pay to get to Disneyland, which will also take time.
To cut down on costs, take your own bottled water in, then keep refilling at the water fountains. It makes a difference not having to keep forking out on drinks.

Yes, did the DL parking for $120.
Security at the gate check bags for bottled water and other edible goodies.

Bottled water is fine to take in. I take in one bottle per person each time I go, so at least 4 x 750ml, never had a problem
