My baby is about to start walking. I am scared that if he gets into the kitchen he may grab a hot from the gas stove. The stove is positioned rather low and nothing can be done about it. How can I protect my baby in the kitchen? Is there some kind of shield/screen? A friend back in Europe has one but I have no idea even how to call it, not to mention where to get one in HK…

Nuri, I know exactly what you're talking about. Unfortunately I have no idea where you would find one. I am probably going to IKEA there so I'll have a look. They have plenty of baby safety stuff.

Safety first brand has those gates which can be installed whereever u dont want ur baby to go. I remember seeing those at the toys r us - the baby section at windsor house. Even bumps to babes have a lot of stuff from safety first, they might have it too.

We bought out metal shield/guard for the stove from Ikea last year and last time I went, they still stocked them.
