Hi, is there any english FM radio stations in HK at all? (not through the internet).

Not fussy, just want something in english and my clock radio only has FM!

AM 1044 is a good channel to listen to. english during the day and sometimes even up to date music !!

There are really only 2 English language music stations in HK, and both are on AM. 864 is just music and news. RTHK Radio 3 (567AM) is a bit of everything.


But, depending on where you live, you can pick up Radio 3 on FM, in stereo. I know the frequency in Happy Valley is 97.9 - you can also get it in Stanley, but not sure what the frequency there is.


For a world class city, you would have thought we'd have a decent English FM radio station...

RTHK Radio 4 is FM and is in English most of the time (I think this is the FM 98.9 referred to above, although the frequency changes a bit depending on where you are). Certainly the hourly news is in English, and most of the commentary seems to be also.

True, it is in English, but I thought it was mostly classical music?


I do know that late at night they have the same content as Radio 3

True, there are a few Radio stations here, but the only English stations that play current music are on AM (with limited FM reception in only a couple of parts of HK). I believe the original poster was asking about English stations on FM, not AM or online.
