depends on what you mean by "learn". certainly as a baby simple rhythm games start the foundation for drums. then comes holding two sticks and hitting something that makes a noise...I would say that comes around the age of 18 months to 2 or 3 years old, depending on the complexity of the rhythm you choose. to play a drumset i think that if a child has been given the right lessons f rom the beginning that they could start with a basic drum set at the age of 4...maybe 3. Every child is different and progress at such different speeds, but my guess is around 3-5 years old.
