Does anyone know how long it takes to drive to the airport from Clearwater Bay? also, how long to drive to Central during non-rush hours? Thanks!

thanks for your reply, Cara. Hubby and I are thinking about moving out that way (no idea where yet), but want to make sure commute times to the airport are reasonable before even bothering to pursue the idea any further! I've also sent you a PM.

I live near Hebe Haven and it takes me 45-50 minutes to the airport. I go there almost every second week, sometimes every week. I leave 2 hours before flight time and I have not missed a flight yet (touch wood)!.
Travel time to Central is about 30 minutes, but if you go during peak hour (e.g. you hit the Eastern Expressway after 8am and before 10), then it will take you longer. How much longer depends on when you get to this point.

I live right in the middle between Clearwater Bay and Sai Kung, my husband drives to Cathay city every day, takes 35 mins, so allow 40 to the airport. I have done central in less than 25 mins, more usual 35 mins.

From near Silverstrand its 40-45 mins to Dragonair House. Add another 10 mins if you want to park at short term parking and then wander inside. Add another 10 mins if you live Mau Po, Lobster Bay or the like. Or catch the E22A bus from Hang Hau - 3 x an hour - about 1hour30 mins - $24 one way.
