My family is moving to Dubai. We know that there is a very stringent restriction on alcohol in Dubai since it is an islamic state.
Can someone advise me if it is legal to bring our wines (we have over 100 bottles in our wine fridge.) when relocating to Dubai.

There are pubs and restaurants selling wine in Dubai, it is one of the better islamic states to live in, we have friends who enjoy living there, but check with your relocation company on how much wine you can take in and how it will be taxed there, but don't worry if you cannot take too much in you can buy not legally

I don't know about importing it. But it is not a dry state, all the hotels have licenced bars. We lived in Abu Dhabi for a year a long time ago, and my husbands wages used to include a liquor allowance, which you could spend at the liquor store. It was hard to buy beer during Ramadan though not impossible, it used to be served in teapots as special tea.
