I have student friends coming over the next month or so and will be staying with me in HK.

Since they r in Asia, they were wondering where else they could go on to for a beach-type hol but on a tight budget - they r students afterall ;)

Any help appreciated as I haven't a clue!

Thanks for the replies guys, but when in HK, my stu friends are staying in my apartment.

They don't require any accomodation in HK.

I was hoping for suggestions of where else they could go after HK - but on a student budget!

My friend, ever the frugal traveler, usually stays at the Ibis North Point. Tiny but clean rooms. Room rates are around 750-900 Honkies.

However I am sure there are cheaper hostels.

Try looking at Thailand, lots of students go there. Lots of cheap hotels, or rooms near to the beach. Try googling Asiarooms
