We are thinking of buying a baby monitor for baby number 2. Anyone got any recommendations?

We have this wonderful Philips but I don't know if they sell it here. If you're willing to spend more, get a digital (DECT) one. That way you won't get interference or hiss.

we use a tomee tippee one. it's from bumps to babes. it has that sensor mat that you can put under the mattress to monitor baby's breathing. we never used that part. baby slept in a moses basket next to us for the first 4 months. the set was a gift. (if we bought it ourselves we wouldn't have bothered with the sensor mat).
