lost british drivers license.

Hi I lost my british drivers license when my wallet was stolen. Does anyone know how i replace it? The DVLA website is not very helpful at all and the consulate don't sem to know! Anyone have any ideas???

thanks for that HK expat. But if you check closely it says only if in the uk. You can not apply from overseas.

I lost my driving licence a few years ago. You can't apply for a replacement if you're not living in the UK, unless you give them a UK address - I gave my mother's address and collected the licence next time I was back on holiday.

You obviously are not looking at the website closely.


If you check the Help functions to the right it tells you that you can still enter adreeses that are NOT in GB, but you must tell them about your previous adreeses in GB.


Alternatively, do what Idavy suggested.
