Shipping Motorbike to Oz

Can some give me some advice on shipping a bike to Oz?

Laws,Regulations, taxes, shipping firms, things i should know..Anything really.

I have done it some years ago, and it is quite simple.

A. I presume its a HK registered bike. You must go to the transportation department with your bike license and inform them that you are going to export the bike - the rest takes 30 min.

B. Suzuki HK (below) are importing loads of bikes, all coming in perfect bike boxes, which they just through out after un-packing. They can arrange to pick up your bike, pack it in one of their left over boxes, and have it delivered to any forwarder of your choice. (Back then I paid HK$ 500 for the packing itself, plus transportation)

C. Beside that you simply need to make a packing list and a proforma invoice. The value is up to you, but remember the receiver might have to pay import duty according to the informed amount.
