Yellowjackets/wasps in Hong Kong

ORIGINAL POST

My father in law is coming over to visit soon and he is very allergic to yellowjackets/wasps. He needs to bring antidote anyway but he wants to know if there are any/some/many. We live on south side and I have never seen one here but we haven't been in HK a full year yet.

Thanks

Bee diversity is much higher in Hong Kong from mid June to early September each year.

I lived in Repulse bay for 30 years and never saw a single one, that being said, I have seen them in NT and on the outlying islands, if you are in the city I don't think its too much cause for concern.
