I can't remember the name of the place, but there is a cheap place near Jordan (decently centrally located on Kowloon side). I paid about HK$7000 for a month's stay there in a single room with kitchenettee- you should be able to get a single for about $1000 or so for a week. Accelerator's International Hotel may also be an option (same area, but a bit more expensive for not much more quality). The 1st place may be under long-term accodomations in AsiaXPat (I think that's where I found it when I was searching).

how much do you want to pay?

Yes agree with leghk, depends on how much do you want to pay. You can see below website which provides both short term and long term service apartment.

Hi xtreme. In Hong Kong, to operate a guesthouse/hostel must had a VALID licence (Cap. 349 Hotel and Guesthouse Accommodation Ordinance) issued by The Office of Licensing Authority. If you are looking for short term room. You can visit our web site http://www.had.gov.hk for more information and the list of Licensed GH/hostel in Hong Kong. Remember that the licence only indicated the designated permises. Other than that should have another licence. Never patronize an unlicensed GH even they usually cheaper than the licesed one. If you still fustrated from that, you can phone (852)2881 7034 to our office for more details information.

I think we get the picture now Terrymark. Why don't you set up a disclaimer with Ed instead of having to post the same thing every time someone is looking for accommodation.
