its a great school, and its pretty hard to get accepted as there are long waiting lists for every class, if you are not holding offers from ESF hKIS or FIS, then there is really only one thing to do

well help us evaluate HKIS vs CIS then since we have a spot at both and are torn...american/russian couple thanks!

well then it boils down to where you want your child to attend university, If you prefer the US then HKIS is the one, If you prefer the UK then CIS would probably be the better one, although even with the IB which is the public examination CIS prepares its student s for, you can still take SAT's to get into an American college through CIS. I think it would be a bit more difficult to reciprocate the arrangement through HKIS and thus make entry into the UK university system from HKIS more complicated. Both are good schools and have great reputations

thanks so much - she is in reception class so i am not looking that far forward (yet) - US university is where she'd end up so i guess both work - i have the sense that CIS is more structured/rigorous/academic even though the curriculum is a hybrid in the early years to allow for the dual language teaching stream - HKIS is just an easy / no risk solution but isnt anything "special" if that makes sense???
