can anyone recommend a salon/stylist that does a good job with hair straightening? I'm looking to spend maybe hkd800.

also, is tipping customary at salons, and if so how much?

Hello Knitty, I get my hair straightened in Tsuen Wan for $300 and it hasn't fallen out yet. Not a classy salon, more like a processing plant, but the result is good and the staff are friendly. Let me know if you want the details.
