Our baby son was breastfed untill his mum had to go back to work. Now he is having great difficulties with bottles. We used 'Bfree' and he was fine but now just cant get it. Any suggestions?

Thanks.

I don't think there's any "correct" solution. Different babies like different things. So I'm afraid you'll just have to try one or two.

There's also the whole "nipple confusion" issue, meaning it might just be bottles in general. Let's face it, snuggling up to a warm breast is nicer than getting a silicone nipple and a plastic bottle. Your son will get over it. Just takes a bit of time.

Our daughters have use Dr. Brown's. Your results may vary.

They are impossible to find in Hong Kong, but my son liked the Playtex Drop Ins brand - with the brown rubber nipple not the clear silicon one. You can get them online. My son would take either the bottle or the breast without a problem, but I was told int he states that this was the best bottle for breastfed babies.

"The best" totally depends on who you ask. ;)

Keep trying different nipples. Go for something soft such as Pigeon ..mine too gave me trouble after happily taking avent for few months..tried Pigeon and it worked..so its basically trial and error..dont worry..keep persisting and he will eventually take it.

Thanks for the tips and help everyone. We think it's about confussion with nipple and teat, it's hard for him but he is getting there :)

Thanks again

Some kids just have a harder time adapting. Others go from one to the other several times a day without issues. It's all part of the unique charm of babies. ;)

fox 88-

i changed from avent to born free bottles but find born free bottles to leak quite a lot (even with the white vent cover and silicon vent on the bottle). do you have this problem?

axptguy38 - Thanks I know :) its just eventhough this one is our second, in many terms its like our first child. Our first was a preterm with quite a few issues.

flowers-daffodil - You call it "born free", I dont know if its "Bfree" yhough the 'B' makes sense. I dont have any leakings, I know there are quite a few parts to the bottles, I know it sounds obvious but make sure they are all in place. I noticed that if I didnt put one part it leaked quite a lot.
