We are leaving Hong Kong in two months and would like to have a farewell party, probably just drinks but maybe snacks as well depending where it is held. Does anyone have any suggestions for a reasonably priced venue? Thanks.

Friends of mine had their farewell party at Quarterdeck, Fenwick Pier. I think it's a great location with views of the harbor and a big outdoor area. A nice way of saying goodbye to HK.

Watermark has even better views, with 270 degree harbour views. You can try our Sunday brunch for only HK$298 + 10% per person. Call 2167 7251 for more details.

Just wanted to say that I tried out Truly Scrumptious based on Shabu Shabu's recommendation. The cake looked good and delivery was free and they made it with very short notice. However, I just wanted to let people know that their 3 lb cake is much much smaller than the cake you would get at a normal bakery (looks about 1 lb), so when we opened the box and had over ten people there, it was actually quite embarassing and everyone only had a very small piece each. It wasn't particularly dense- I think it may have been the icing and packaging that was taken into account? It's worth checking out the size that the cake will be beforehand and not just the weight, so it doesn't look like you're being stingy about cake. Chocolate Cake was only ok. Think we'll stick with something a bit more mainstream next time.
