Looking for swimming instructor

I didn't see any in the Directory. I am looking for a private swimming instructor who can come to our complex to give our 2½ year old basic swimming lessons.


Swim school is probably not a great option for her right now since she spends the first 20 minutes in a crowd of other kids just staring at them.

axptguy, not much help I am afraid - but pls let me know if you find one! we would love our two do swimming lessons. If it is too expensive, pls let me know if you would like to share lessons - I think we live not far from each other! thank you

I approached one of the teachers at Harry Wright International and they came to my block and coached my daughter. This was some years ago though. Google their name and you will find a contact.

thank you very much! having nighmares about babies falling into swimming pools.. and even tho I know they wont really swim till they are well past 3 yrs old - still feel like something has to be done about it (even just for my own sanity!). Have a lovely holiday!

My wife and I could both swim unassisted by three. Of course our parents wouldn't let us alone in the pool until much later, but still. At least if we fell in the water we had no problem getting to the surface and staying afloat.


Depends on the child though. As usual some are ready and some are not.
