I don't know Amiarcare but I know that most air purifiers have a HEPA filter (make sure if you get an unknown brand that it's HEPA and not 'like HEPA' - when I made my small research I came across that term). IQAir is concidered the best, I think, but unfortunately it cost here 12k while in the US it's around the 6k HKD. I personally have the Sharp Plasmacluster, got two of them, it's quite a good one with two filters- carbon and HEPA. The carbon one you can wash and it keeps for long time and the HEPA they say to change it every 5 years or so.
You also have on the market purifiers with ultraviolet(I think it's that light) lights inside. With those lights I read that there are different opinions that some say that it might be harming indoor if there is exposure. Others say that it's good way of killing the germs but not effective in small purifiers because there is not enough time to expose the bugs to this special light.
