Selling of used books and TV

Hi

I have a box of books (mostly novels) in good condition and would like to sell them off as apartment here is too tiny.

In addition, also have a tv (swiss plug), used for only 1 year. Would also like to sell it off.

Any idea how I can go about selling used goods in HK?

"I have a Toshiba 52" TV - HUGE (about 6 years old - not flat screen) which cost over HK$55k - can't give it away for HK$1500....."

Yeah those CRTs certainly became obsolete fast. We have one in storage "back home" but on second thought we should have given it away before leaving.

It's a shame there's nowhere like Amazon that allows easy selling of books. I have heard of schools taking old books, but know no more details.

there is a second hand book shop called flow in central (it is just off the escalator) search on this site and you will find references to it (I know how to get there but cant think of the address). They dont pay a lot for books (I usually get about HKD5 per book), but it does get them out of the house in one go. Alternatively list them on this site but you probably wont get rid of them in one go. YWCA takes books as a donation if you go that route.

You could try taking your books to Booksmart, opposite the Central Market. It's another second hand book shop that's only been open for a few months.
