Don't panic ... it is quite common after childbirth. Check out this link to put your mind at rest ... http://www.follicle.com/section2/5.html

I concur its normal. If it's falling out in patches rather than just thinning it might be a good idea to see a doctor. Otherwise I wouldn't worry too much.

I think what you are experiencing is completely normal.Your body has gone through very great hormonal changes and also stress.I wouldn't really worry and would be wary of "miracle fixes" Your hair should be back to normal soon. Thanks, Jon.

Agree probable cause is post natal hormone syndrome.

But...There are so so many causes of rapid hair loss so don't mess about...get it checked out fully (hair falling out=checkk it out)....and help your medico's get all the background data possible...(usual cause = symptomatic of a major event..such as organ issues, hormone shock / normalization, so the best advise is to do some reflection and list out your prevailing conditions and go to the GP and get a referal to a specialist.

Have you had: major surgery, possible hormone normalization shock post pregnancy (say in the last 90 to 100 days), pancreatic issues, are you taking Beta Blockers...etc. (list them) there are simple blood test to check the following organs that can be associated with hair loss: Thyroid, liver, pancreas, autoimmune disease eg Lupis...deficiencies in iron, B6 (list your diet)...a recent Hep B shot could also cause female hair (non permanent) clumping loss.

Most mentioning such a issue cant list the prevailing conditions and therefore give the GP nothing to narrow down the issue so they will just assume post natal hormone issues,,,diet (usually OK while pregnant), abdominal pain, meds, pituitary check etc..

Most likely major event is your recent pregnancy but dont let your GP just assume the obvious....write a list of all your recent events from stress to actual pain, weakness, etc

HK medical facilities are very good....but are very prone to rely on hard evidence such as FBC tests etc..best of luck to you anyway....if in doubt, just check it out!

Sometimes it's not necesarily related to childbirth...if you google "alopecia areata" you will find some info which may help you. This is a dermatalogical condition and the best person to see it a dermatologist (not a hair loss centre or hairdresser). PM me if you need more info on AA. Good luck!
