You poor thing...... I've only been waxing for about a year & yesterday I had my first 'Hong Kong' wax. I went to Eva at Paul Gerrard & she was great! I also get a red rash but it should pretty much be gone by the following day. Your skin may just be super sensitive for the first time so try not to put too many products on the area as your folicles may still be open (your beautitian should have put some oil on afterwards - next time maybe ask her what to do to reduce it).
By the way, although it's a pretty odd experience you'll never go back.

Hopefully the redness has gone by now. You could maybe try some pure aloe vera gel. I don't think you can find anything better than that.

I have really sensitive skin and the last few times I waxed I broke out in a terrible rash that lasted 2 weeks. I stopped waxing now as I haven't figured out what it is that caused the rash. Scented wax perhaps? I would suggest you just don't touch it for a while. That seems to make my rash worse.
Good Luck.

I swear by aloe vera. I've been using it for years for cuts, burns, inflammation, sunburn. I even put it in my hair before washing. If you still have some sort of inflammation from your rash, you will find it soothing. Go to any plant shop and buy yourself a small plant.

I've been to 2 different salons for waxing Spa Beaute Par Zai and The Firm unfortunately I got an awful burning itchy rash from the latter. I haven't been back since, I now only go to Spa Beaute Par Zai and have never had any problems so I assume it is just a difference in the wax. http://www.spabpz.com/

I agree with Northern Angel. Spa Beaute Par Zai wax quality is just so much better than the ones I've tried in other salons. I guess it also depends on how good and experienced the therapist is. You should definetly try aloe vera gel. It really works!
