Does anyone know if you can buy these in HK? I need an extra bed for visitors in a couple of weeks but don't want to buy a "real" bed for only a few days.

surely you aren't talking about the blow up beds. I think I'd be more comfortable on the floor. I think you can get them in TST either Cameron Road or Granville Road, but I can't be sure.

I have seen them in Tequila Kola in Horizon Plaza

I bought a decent one from a shop in Coda Plaza (corner of Garden Road and MacDonnell Road) a while ago and this shop has been mentioned on various threads so do a search as I can't remember the name but it was on the 12th floor I think and it is more comfortable than the floor.

Apples..Coda Plaza on McDonald Rd next to the YWCA, the shop is on the 13th Floor. I bought one from there and it has been great. It has a double lift so you are high off the ground, auto pump you just plug into the wall but you need to get a specific outlet as the plug itself is not standard to the ones in your wall. Just ask the people there they should have one for purchase there. Cost me around $500HK vs the actual aerobed in TK for over $1k. Much more comfortable than the floor by far.

goofie, where did you get the folding rollaway bed from?

These air mattresses look very practical and I will check out the Intex and Aerobed as per info above. Thanks.
One query from users of these beds: How comfortable are they, really? Are they ok for extended stay use, say 3 months?
Would appreciate any experiences. Thanks.

Very subjective. In my case I would say no. A week max.

The double height plug in ones from Man Fung Consumers Goods store are perfect for about a week. We slept on one for a week when my parents visited and whilst it was good I was ready to go back to my bed. Sleeping alone on it you could probably last longer.

Thanks guys.
I assume you are both talking about the cheaper Man Fung bed. Is the more expensive Aerobed the same? My gut feel from what you say is yes, but if axptguy and any one else can confirm for the Aerobed (Premium double height single for $2k) that would be great.

We used a fold up mattress from Sea Horse; about $450. When folded up it is about 24" x 18"; not as small as the blow-ups but we found it a lot more comfortable for extended periods.
