Does anyone have the phone numbers for all the HK Island taxi companies? I'm trying to organize regular taxi service one-way to my office starting next week.
Also, I'll be going from HK Island to TST. Will I have to pay for the taxis to return to HK Island?

I had someone last year drive my kids to school by taxi in the mornings. This was actually cheaper than the school bus! You should be able to arrange a regular driver and a discounted fare.

With soaring oil prices, when i take a taxi, i never ask for any discount and i always leave a tip of 10% - 20% and an understanding wink.
Not to mention taxi discounts are in breach of the law, just like paying your domestic helper below the legal minimum wage.
I simple don't have the heart to bargain with people who are making ends meet.

Thanks for the posts. Found a very good priced driver/car service through my travel agent, so I'll get to enjoy a MBenz ride into work. As for the taxi regular service, I only called the Red Taxi number suggested above. They said no taxi services offered regular service. I also asked half a dozen cabbies personally for their cards for regular service over the past few weeks and none would provide a number to call.

My wife actually has an ad hoc guy who has learned to wait outside our complex at the correct time in the morning. He drives her 4 times out of 5 I would say.
