Has anyone take QATAR airways from Hong Kong to the UK / Europe. The schedule I am looking at has a 7 hour stop over in Qatar. I just wanted to know, if I am travelling economy - what is there to do in the airport?

Yeah I've spent a few hours at Qatar Airport. I have to tell you that basically there is really nothing to do there. There are a few (expensive) shops, mostly selling lots of gold (not a popular purchase for the budget traveller!) and some hard seats. That's about it. Some snacks and water and a good book would be my advice! Happy travels!

Hi there, not meaning to rub it in, but i have done both economy and business with Qatar and i can say that yes as Rackbird states there is really nothing to do and its go no decent western food if that's what you require/desire.
The Business lounge on the other hand is quite impressive with good service. At the end of the day Qatar Airways offers some pretty competitive flights so you just need to way up the compromise of not much to do.
