Is it possible to get built-in wardrobes that are like the ones in Australia? The ones I'm talking about are the ones with sliding doors, aluminium framed, white melamine modular fittings on the inside. These are usually installed in a few hours.
Usually the built in wardrobes in HK are the custom built wooden varnished wardrobes, which start to warp after a while, and they have wooden shelves that splinter etc.
Anyone know where my type of wardrobes are in HK and whether they are cheaper/more expensive than the typical HK-style built ins?

Sounds like you need a contractor to come in and do that for you. Then you can pick your own materials etc. We have the ones you're talking about, silding double mirror doors, hanging rod up top, shelves on the bottom. But our contractor did them when the apartment was gutted and renovated.
