I need to tailor 200 summer dresses. Is it really worth going to shenzen for the fabric and the tailoring. Would any one have an idea of what cotton fabric cost like in shenzen per meter. Is it 40 ,80 160 yuan per meter? I have no idea.thanks

It is usually around 23-50 yuan per meter

light cotton should not be above 25RMB per meter, a heavier quality 35, whereas jersey 25-40. ONly satin or silk mixture is around 50 per meter. Be careful, they sell a lot cotton that is mixed with Polyester.

If you are buying in such large amounts, then sham shui po may be better for you and i really think there is a larger range.
