This kind of mold is nasty stuff that can give you all sorts of ailment. Personally I would throw it out and get a new one.

Barring that, you should start by drying it out as much as you can with a dehumidifier.

Any other idea?

What i did, for now, was to spray it with a mix of dettol (the one used for delicate fabrics & laundry) and demineralized water and let it dry below the air-conditionning....

Though i cannot understand if the musty smell is gone & must development "arrested", or if it is just barely covered by the smell of dettol....

Actually put the mattress in the sun, with sodium bicarbonate.

Have bought a foldable foam matress for a couple hundred bucks and will order a real mattress from the shop (takes one week to deliver).

Was thinking of a foam matress (seahorse).

However, now i'concerned about how foam can handle humifity....

Any advice about that ?

Also, Goofie, pls. let me know how i can safely and legally dispose of a matress...
