Phil&Ted double buggy - advice about sunshade

For parents who use the above, how do you shade your baby sitting below? I am loving the pram but in the current heat, my 4 month old is positively roasting in it...he wears a hat but the rest of his body is still exposed. I have tried to drape a blanket but not too successful...the sun is coming from the sides. I've looked at the official P&T stuff and the sun cover is dark mesh and i don't really want that because the kids will definitely complain about not being to see anything!!!

Typically we take a small bedsheet or a large pillowcase and tie it to the top corners of the bottom seat and to the parts just ahead of the handle. This does leave her exposed a bit, but it's the best we could do.

The dark mesh is not too bad actually. Quite see through from the inside. But of course it's not like a window or anything.

We have had the dark mesh type, and it is good, but gets hot too. The baby can see out, but people can't see in.

We use those 'butterfly clips' - you know those really strong paper clips - and clip a very light weight thin cotton sheet/blanket to our pram to keep our babies out of the sun. It works great because the clips hold it on.

You could even go to a local fabric market and buy a thin cotton fabric and cut it to size :)
