How to make roof child safe?

I live on the second floor of a village house and have use of the roof. Does anyone have any suggestions for making the roof child safe so that I can allow my 7yr old to play there? Any suggestions /contacts appreciated.

Before we moved in, our landlord arranged for big plexiglass panes to be mounted around our roof. The smooth surface is impossible to climb and reaches about 2 meters high. See through although it does need the occasional clean.
